About Kristen TaylorAddicted to organizing with sticky-notes and always carrying a sketchbook, I am a designer that loves to share ideas in a team-environment and watch them grow. A firm believer in good visual communication and honest marketing, I have lead the creative design of new projects, followed the strict design direction of others, and managed large print publications on tight budgets and short deadlines.
I approach graphic design as a solution to client needs or company challenges. I particularly strive for solutions that bring extra value, whether that be my reducing an expensive print production budget by 15% (Arabian Horse Association) or using eye-catching design to more than double annual social media engagement (PSA Worldwide). The core of my work ethic includes approaching projects with curiosity, organization, time management, creativity and passion, as well as always asking how graphic design can improve communication or improve our world. I believe graphic design can be more than attractive and actually make a positive impact in peoples' lives. I thrive in B2C and B2B work environments that encourages teamwork, collaboration and also fosters and rewards individual initiative. My PassionsOutside of my career, I love exploring the great outdoors with loved ones, paddleboarding, creating personal art projects, diving deep into the branding & creation of tutorial videos for my miniatures-focused YouTube channels, or building the tiniest model houses & horses you ever saw. I am also passionate about funneling my love of branding and graphic design into other pursuits such as interior design, drawing, and painting.

Why the Tapir?Tapirgraphics is my freelance business and since I care about using graphics for a better world, I chose an endangered animal as my mascot. It’s striking like the WWF panda, memorable and sounds like “typographics” when fused with the word “graphics”.
